Meet Aaron Chausmer

Aaron is a respected attorney, husband, father, and long-time resident of the City of Dunwoody in DeKalb County. Aaron is running for Superior Court Judge because he is passionate about working in the court system to improve efficiency, increase transparency, reduce recidivism, and ensure that everyone who enters his courtroom is treated fairly and with dignity.

Aaron Chausmer brings more than two decades of experience, with a strong background in commercial and business litigation. His focus areas include competition-based matters, commercial and contract disputes, corporate governance issues, and labor and employment matters.

An active member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Dunwoody Bar Association, Aaron has acted as a fee arbitrator, ​as ​a mentor in its​ ​Transition Into Law Practice program, and as a member of the State Bar’s Law Practice Management Program and Business Court Committees. He speaks frequently to both lawyers and business owners about restrictive covenants and their impact on businesses and litigating disputes involving closely held businesses. Aaron has been a featured speaker for Lorman Education Services, Strafford Publications and the Sandy Springs /Perimeter Chambers Small Business Council Educational Series, to name a few.

Aaron first came to Atlanta in 1991 to attend Emory University. Upon graduation, he attended Boston University School of Law, where he was selected for the International Law Journal and chosen to be a Case and Note Editor. He earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1998 and then immediately returned to Atlanta.

When not practicing law, Aaron and his wife, Jaimie, enjoy world travel, cheering for Atlanta United​, and spending time with their wonderful children, Leah and Asher.
